Yeah — what a joke with these leaflets. Can you imagine how much legitimacy people would give Hezbollah if they dropped leaflets over Tel Aviv before bombing it? It’s ridiculous hypocrisy.
Thanks for posting Exhibit A for the prosecution in the war crimes trial that should begin tomorrow.
Birth pangs, leaflets, the right of Israel to defend itself, there should be no ceasefire until there can be permanent peace, Israel is the victim – these ideas are the psychotic delusions of homicidal maniacs.
I have seen the pictures of dead children and buildings turned to rubble but, for me, these pictures really drive home the harsh reality and scope of what is happening right now in Lebanon. Meanwhile, many Americans support this madness but are outraged about what a drunk movie star says. In addition, they don’t mind saddling their own children with massive debt while money is borrowed and sent to Israel to pay for the destruction of Lebanon and the deaths of innocent people.
Scott, it isn’t just out and out sad. Somehow, it goes way beyond that to an extent that can’t really be described with words. For those in Lebanon, this must certainly seem like a horrifying apocalypse.
That the President of the United States and his shameless apologists condone this insanity should be the final straw. We may not be able to hold Israel accountable, but we owe it to the Lebanese to double our efforts to hold our government accountable. At this point, I’ll vote for a damn socialist in 2006 if they promise to impeach this idiot psycho regime.
The IDF is now saying they are unsure how long this “operation” will take, but certainly cannot be completed in days. It may be weeks, or months, or…
While it may be true that the situation with Hezbollah was neglected and allowed to grow, even Israel is now admitting that trying to fight this geurilla urban war is nigh impossible with traditional techniques. And how is this a surprise to anyone? So in the meantime we will see civilian lives shattered as “collateral damage” or “necessary losses”. Lebanon, specifically Beirut, will be set back 20 years.
And in the meantime, our “mission” in Iraq drags on over 40 months, making it one of the longest wars in our history with no reasonable goals set.
I’m sure the Lebanese government could have done a better job managing the Hezbollah problem, but the people of Lebanon shouldn’t have to pay the price. But that’s always the cost of war. We often count the masses of soldiers killed, but once the dust settles, it is always apparent that the highest casualties were civilians in any war.
Looks like they were bombing anything with corners on it – round things look nicer from the air and you are less likely to bump your head on round things.
How to describe these actions: Pure Evil.
At least with tonnes of DU dropped on the city and around Lebanon the IDF can be secure in the knowledge that the Lebanese will have plenty of birth defects for the next half a billion years.
And they think they are close to God ?!?!
Hey, they dropped leaflets first.
Yeah — what a joke with these leaflets. Can you imagine how much legitimacy people would give Hezbollah if they dropped leaflets over Tel Aviv before bombing it? It’s ridiculous hypocrisy.
The leaflets were probably coated with DU residue.

Just wondering, what’s the source of this picture?
You know, today, with how easy it is to modify a picture and the media war between the Hezbollah and Isra
The civilians are defenseless. This makes soldiers into thugs. It makes nations into whooping cowards.
All wars are an organized robbery. If the Lebanese would give their country away, we wouldn’t have to take it by force of arms.
Or any other country either. I am an American, my country is good, our leaders are not.
