  1. As you well know, A.G. Alberto “Stungun” Gonzales’ Office has already filed an appeal which presupposes this decision will in course be overturned by The Supreme Court; and with the institutions of Espionage and Fear being far older than that of Constitutional rights—Which are in any case subject to the power and opinion of those “qualified individuals” selected and processed to interpret, define and thus determine them the outcome of this Goddamned, extemporaneous, civic theatre designed for an idiotic public consumption/placation, cannot long remain in question. “No hereditary Kings in the United States” my Redneck Okie ass there ain’t—There’re even hereditary Kings on this web log…Meanwhile the entire paradigm of war and oppression abroad worsens by the day, this as it steadily darkens domestic horizons with the promise of naked, calculated force, even now as we speak…

  2. i thought i heard that the bush administration was bascially going to flip off the justice’s ruling with a giant, poop encrusted middle finger. ie, they were going to ignore it while they were going to find a friendly judge to reverse the ruling…

    true?

  3. First step will be Arlen Spector, head of the Senate Judiciary committee combining all 30 suits into a single intended action to limit State espionage against the citizenry and the throw it along and the subsequent Diggs Taylor decision into a FISA court. There, it will be reviewed, debated, and in my opinion expeditiously legislated against…I needn’t tell you the rationale, you know the drill by now…It’s more important to bear in mind who Federal Judges are appointed and confirmed by: Politicians…Thus Judges become partisan instruments of power as opposed to their use as a public sanctioned autonomous application of justice, equity, democracy etc., etc. and the “Majesty of the law” law my ass. History demonstrates that above the division of labor Politics supersede Law. Basically stated the law is a comprehensive device to keep assholes in line, and their overlords in control of them. Particularly tax laws…Bottom line? For the present they’re not gonna quit spying on ya. The more desperate this regime becomes toward the end of prosecuting its failed policies, the more insane it will get. Some of their lead idealogues are already jumping ship. Fukiama, Lowery…and their will be others to follow…Finally when they lose control of the legislature and the wheel turns, the war ends—like all wars end—They’ll all be singing the same songs…”I told ‘em not to do it but they wouldn’t listen”…”We just didn’t know”….”I was just following orders…”We believed the more Democracies in the middle east the fewer wars”…”We deposed a vicious dictator”…”We couldn’t let Iran develop nuclear weapons” …The same standard shit and recriminations.

  4. Ya’ll know I’m with Spooner on the Constitution, but years ago I believed it was possible for people to hold the state to the letter of it and regain most of our lost liberty – to reinstate it and again bind the national government with it’s chains. Even though they are saying that the judges ruling is flawed I’m taking this ruling and the Hamdan case before it as signs that the Cheney regime has pushed too much police state too soon and that there are some people in the establishment who are seeing too clearly what a betrayal they are being asked to accomplice.

  6. They’ll keep spying even if the USSC says they can’t, so I say fuck it. Everyone talk as much shit as you can to whoever will listen. It’ll only get harder to fight back from here on.

  7. Yep. You’re right, and when you’re right…you’re right. They’ll keep spying even if the USSC says they can’t. But frankly I think they, the triumvirs Alito, Scalia and Roberts will grant them all the special powers they need to do it legally. That’s why they were confirmed by Spector’s Judiciary committee and you’ll notice the “Liberals” in committee and the Senate didn’t kick up too much fuss about it. I’d say the same hold true for the SC justices out of the triumvir, swing votes etc. The rest believe in the state holding ultimate power anyway. That and leave it to Cheney to make unilateral demands. I wouldn’t even put a clandestine spook flight for the express purpose of him conducting a personal interrogation on a PUC beyond his capabilities him. My point on Kings is there that are Hereditary Kings at Anti-war.com and for that matter [more to your chagrin] the Libertarian Party—And I intend to put my pen to the formers top guns—Too many think tank elites and Director’s of prestigious academic institutions over there…Even if 99.99/100ths of what he says is true: If El Rey Raimondo ain’t a Hereditary King there? I don’t know what one is. In the end all judgements are subjective, but if some piss ants get the line down better than others; then I’m one of ‘em…homework finished or no

  8. As an after thought again allow me to quote the infamous Roy Cohn on the Gravity and Sanctity of law: “Shut up about the law!—I’ve forgotten more about the law than you’re capable of learning!—Show me the Judge!” …If that’s not enough? Bear in mind this malicious, rotten little son of a bitch completed Columbia law at 19…There’s the fuckin’ law—and Jefferson’s Natural Aristocracy for you.

  9. I still don’t get it. What’s hereditary about Raimondo’s position? He was Rothbard’s student? Garris’s friend?

  10. Yes.
