Boy, those guys that made Loose Change are really stupid. Really stupid.

The assholes from Popular Mechanics made fools of them today on Democracy Now!

Really stupid.

Update: Those indestructable towers the kooks want you to believe in:

  1. I found this especially dumb. The Loose Change guy, in arguing why cell phones wouldn’t work on planes in 2001, argues that if they could work then, “why in 2004 did American Airlines spend tens of thousands of dollars to put cell phone towers in their planes so people could make those calls? Why spend tens of thousands of dollars three years after the fact, if they worked so well on September 11? What he’s saying is a total lie.”

Hmmm. Tens of thousands of dollars. Oh, I couldn’t possibly imagine why a multi-billion dollar airline would spend tens of thousands of dollars to improve their service, to update it. Could you? I mean that’s so much money. The airline probably has to fly one or even two flights to make that much.

  2. Yeah. If they worked then, why would the airline improve their technology? It makes no sense! Even better was the part where “severe damage, fire, fueled by deisel tanks for the generators combining to cause the collapse of bld 7 is “they keep changing their story from this to that.” Best though was, “Liars! all liars! – I’m not calling anybody a liar – I’m calling you a liar!!! Aaahhhh!!!!” What fools. How embarrassing for them to be called out in front of everyone like that.

  3. Oh, yeah, and “That’s all we’re saying,” about the “mysterious” circumstances about flt 93, when in fact, what they say in the “film” is that the flight landed safely – which is pure bullshit. Oh, but look! There’s a quote from the coroner 15 minutes after he got there saying he sees no body parts!

  4. We can run all over the page with crazy ideas, pentagon, missiles, cell phones etc. Building 7 is still strange to me. Even with all it’s damage and fire, which was quite considerable:

    http://www.911myths.com/html/wtc7_fire.html

    watch video clip:

    http://www.911myths.com/WTC7_Smoke.avi

what concerns me is the speed it came down, and how it came down, is this strange to anyone else? No plane hit that building, yes falling debris did, but is that enough with fire to make it come down? And would it come down that way? That building came straight down very, very quickly. They can’t use their same argument that they use for the twin towers, that it was the planes disrupting the structure.

Apparently NIST does not agree with the pancake theory anymore for the buildings, they have a different theory. They are supposed to be releasing their study on building 7 in 2007. I will be interested to see. What do you guys think about building 7, still strange?

If we erase everything except this, this is the strongest argument, any weight?

  5. Also, why are they releasing such limited footage of the Pentagon? The question isn’t whether a plane hit it or not. I think a plane hit it, so that isn’t what concerns me. The question is, why are they allowing this conspiracy to play on? Why release that dinky and horrible footage they did when they could easily refute the conspiracy theorists with much better video footage? Why do they want this pentagon controversy to continue? Am I correct in saying there are or should be many more shots of what happened? That the pentagon has cameras everywhere?

So either it is true that nothing hit the pentagon, or the government wants this controversy to continue? Can we say the government is indifferent to this, and if we say this, why did they release the second video with such horrible footage?

  6. Re: Towers: I don’t know about pancakes, it always seemed to me like the outsides of the towers fell away from the center. Regardless, I think the video speaks for itself: The parts above the plane damage fell and the rest of the building was unable to withstand it.

Bld 7 damage: Look here (It was far worse than I had been led to believe): http://www.debunking911.com/WTC7.htm
I ain’t no engineer, but holmes on D Now! was saying that the lower level trusses gave out due to the fire and the rest came down on top of it. Makes sense to me.

Re: Pentagon footage: There are supposedly many angles. I think they think they’re better off with the kooks chasing that shit around in circles rather than learning how far Iran is from being able to make a nuke, etc. It is the perfect distraction.

  8. I’ve heard that story about Mineta and Cheney in a bunker in the Pentagon before. The only person who could testift to this verbal exchange would have to be someone else present. Who else was there? Who reportedly broke/leaked this story.

Digression: On the Anti-Neocon Blog RY Dawson and a lady vocalist do a not too bad song about the terrorist hype when you are about to enter the site. I was wondering, would you and Angela write and perform a duet regarding being Libertarianis in an encroaching police state that would start whenever we logged into your blog.

  9. Re: Mineta: I don’t know, but my understanding is that he wasn’t suspicious of anything. From other sources, we hear that the controllers mistook flt 77 for a military jet because it was flying so fast and low, so I think it’s probably a stretch to think they knew it was heading for the pentagon. An assumed interpretation of a conversation is not quite enough to assume a “stand down order” in my eyes.

  10. Whatever you think of the LC vs PM exchange … the following was worth it for my money:

“JASON BERMAS: What Mr. Meigs doesn’t want to address is that that article clearly states that the same kind of thing were happening in the drills as what was happening on September 11th. You have comments like, “I’ve never seen so much real world stuff,” during an exercise. You have somebody following Flight 11 for 20 minutes after it’s hit the World Trade Center, and then you have Cynthia McKinney twice asking for reports on these drills, the last time in a 2005 Department of Defense budget thing from Myers and Rumsfeld, and she never gets it. And she asked them, “Well, do these war games help or hurt us?” And Richard Myers actually said, “They helped our response on 9/11,” which is total nonsense.

We know at 8:45 in the morning, the CIA at the NRO building is running a drill of ramming a plane into a building. We know that FEMA was here the night before in New York City for a bio-terror drill. We also know the FAA is running drills of 20-plus hijacked jets going in and out of radar at the same exact time these four hijackings are happening. That’s what he doesn’t want to tell you.”

I’m not looking to these young kids to defend the anomalies surrounding 911. Nor am I looking to the idiots of PM with their privy access to 911 evidence to tell me the truth. I am looking for Scott’s 911 analysis and the worth of dog-whistler Sibel Edmonds’, whose testimony continues to be unheard and unacted upon by anyone in the administration, the public or msm.

  11. Re: the excersizes: I’ve never heard any evidence that they caused delays of more than a few seconds. “Is this real world?” “Yes.” “Oh.” and such.
Also, for this stuff to be surprising, we would have to know how often excersizes like this occur and whether or not they were public information. Also, I think some of his assertions are a bit off. For example: Was not the FEMA there the night before thing based on that guys misstatement on Dan Rather?

Sibel knows many things, but she doesn’t know any better than us who did 9/11. Read about her at http://wotisitgoodfor.blogspot.com

The video should have shown the central columns reminaing behind. They did not.

Even more rediculous is that if the collapse was based on a pancake theory, the rate of descent would have decreased not increased. Each floor would haev offered resiatance ot the one above, resulting in a collapse that would have taken more that 10 seconds. If you were to have dropped a billiar ball, from teh top of the building, it would have hit the ground less than half a second before the end of the collapse.

Think about it. 110 floors in 10 secons – that’s eleven floors collapsing on the next ever second. No way in the world man.

  17. The louder than words team are not asking you to believe what they say they are asking you to consider the information, even check for yourself and come to your own conclusion. You seem to have some vendetta against the creators of Loose Change. All they want is for all of the information to be released for public viewing, if the government didn’t have anything to hide they would surely do this. I am an english citizen and The events of 9/11 effect me in no way but that does not mean that I am not to be concerned that the most powerful country in the world may be being turning their citizens into slaves by removing your rights and privacy, this concern is for you and you do not do anything with the information that is being given to you or anything about the information that is hidden away from you.
