How on earth does this Muravchick and others hold to the preposturous concept that an Israeli mandated, American air attack on Iranian Nuclear Facilities will somehow indemnify them in the future? In the final analysis, i.e. long term, it would provide Israel with just about as much security, again at American expense, as the air attack on Pearl Harbor did the Empire of Japan…Conversely, The State of Israel possesses some 400 nuclear weapons ranging from low yield devices, to thermonuclear along with sophisticated delivery systems and is privy to US Satellite Intelligence. How, armed to the teeth and prepared as they are, can they consider Iran an “Existential Threat?” If anything, the Israelis have the equation backwards. Other than certain annihilation, what would Iran gain by a pre-emptive nuclear attack on Israel? Even if it had the means? Maybe Mr. Muravchik could enlighten me before taking it upon himself to “Pave the way intellectually, and prepare to defend the [Military] action when it comes.” Accordingly this must serve as an example of the more belligerent, warped, and antagonistic rhetoric I’ve been given to observe of late. The neo-cons do indeed “have lots of baggage,” far more of it than this arrogant, irresponsible fool seems to presently realize…I would remind him that as Orwell noted in 1984 “It is not easy to become sane.”
