Okay, Rumsfeld is out, Cheney is in his cave, here’s what you do:
Put the worst secretary of State since Colin Powell on a plane to Tehran. Have her tell them that we will leave Iraq and shut up about their enrichment of uranium to 3.6% for their electricity program as long as they remain subject to the NPT and IAEA safeguards, and promise not to obliterate the minority Sunni Arabs of Iraq when we leave.
Since the Ayatollah Khamenei offered everything for nothing in 2003, I think it’s a pretty safe bet that he’ll take it.
Otherwise, the US could just leave them alone since Iran is really none of our business, but that’s just me.

Clever touch, linking to good ol’ George Washington!
i would much rather throw her out of a plane.
>i would much rather throw her out of a plane
Especially before she starts doing this again http://www.bedoper.com/bedoper/reptilian/graphics_graveyard/condi-vamp.jpg
Here is how I look at her: An expensive maid with big but empty words coming off her mouth. She has no one’s respect, not even that of her master. Best advice: Simply get rid of her, along with the rest the gang, in short notice.
The next thing that should happen is to start impeachment proceedings…only then, will this government be able to deal with the master mind of all the problems we are in and the world is in at this point…Dick Cheney. Like it or not, that’s what it boils down to. Call the president before the grand jury and ask him if he has lied to the American People about the reasons for going to war in Iraq…or have the jury ask him if he had sex out of wedlock…or ask him if he ever snorted anything…or maybe simply ask…any questions that are relevant
she is the most “highly educated” incompetent that i have ever seen. in her case her phd. stands for pointy-headed dummy.
You forgot the security guarantees that Tehran keeps asking for: the USA should guarantee it will not make an unprovoked attack on Iran. Then they’d go for it, I’m sure.
Strike a deal with Iran? You seem to have forgotten who runs our Mid-East policy. Better check with Tel Aviv
Yes, I agree but what to do about this?
Deputy Defense Minister: Israel must be ready to stop Iranian nuclear program ‘at all costs’

By Haaretz Service and the Associated Press
Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh suggested in comments published Friday that Israel must be ready to prevent Iran’s nuclear program “at all costs,” and might be forced to launch a military strike against Iran’s nuclear program – the clearest statement yet of this possibility from a high-ranking Israeli official.??”I am not advocating an Israeli pre-emptive military action against Iran and I am aware of its possible repercussions,” Sneh told The Jerusalem Post daily. “I consider it a last resort. But even the last resort is sometimes the only resort,” he said.?
I’d give her a parachute, but with no advance training. Maybe she could then have a smattering of identification with the anxiety of the Lebanese civilians she so wontonly agreed to accept being bombed when she declared she was opposed to the first suggested “cease-fire” in the summer crisis with Israel and Hebollah. She is a whore on the body politic, a viper in the worst Bush tradition.
The best kept secret of Bush and Rice is the total smothering of Iran’s 2003 overture for a peaceful set of relations with the U.S., and israel!
Their refusal to deal with this proposal is pathetic and reprehensible.
In 2003 U.S. spurned Iran’s Offer of Dialogue Washington Post
Not to mention antagonistic…Well, as David Gergen remarked on television some months back re: Iraq and the cauldron that has become the Middle East. “The hour of decision is approaching.” …And I’m a pessimist.
