  1. “That’s why he’ll never rule anything.” …Yeah, I’m afraid that pretty much cinches it.

  2. Awesome, it’s almost unbelievable when you hear a politician say stuff like that. You know, I think it won’t be easy for him, (I think we all know that ) but the internet is so valuable, thank god for it. I think his largest threat is, that he is a big threat, literally to the whole establishment, so they will do everything in their power to not allow someone like him to get in a postion of power.

  6. Sorry that RP doesn’t thing the Downing Street Memo (among others) is adequate for purposes of impeachment proceeedings v. GWB……….IE The Intelligence is being fixed around the Policy…….Pretty damning stuff……Maybe its just political strategy to understate things, but I think a call for impeachment would really make RP stand out.

  7. …Steve: Money, propaganda and agitation are what will make the LP stand out. Nothing more, nothing less.

  8. impeachment? pfftt! Ron knows it can’t be done now, that’s why. do you really believe it could be done in less than two years? no effin’ way, not by this bunch of cat-herders. they can’t even agree on a policy for troop withdrawal/re-deployment/wtf-ever or grow a damn pair long enough to stand for anything but more infringements from the whitewash commission. the proverbial soup sandwich would be an improvement over these chrome polishing assclowns. pass the popcorn, it’s double feature.

  9. I want to see Ron Paul debate Billary, McCainiac and other establishment jobber they can put up there.

However, the rules are, we pick the moderator and panel from the following group: Horton, Raimondo, Jim Tucker and Mace Price. I would ask Whig but he would probably do a Felix Unger and get into an argument with one of the stagehands prior to the event and be asked to leave.

  10. Hi Scott,

Could you make an interview (maybe an hour long KAOS report?) with Justin Raimondo? I just read this http://www.antiwar.com/justin/?articleid=10674 and I think a conversation between the two of you at this time on the issue of the Dem “Republicrat” Party and their betrayal of the will of the American people would be very timely (in particular for a KAOS report, hint hint).

Also – did you consider inviting Richard Stallman? He could talk with you about free software of course, but also about politics and his views (http://www.stallman.org/) on a variety of subjects.

Then – why not have Amy Goodman on your show? She is on air every day, but she never says anything about her own personal views, at least not on the air (she does that in her books and speeches, I know, but that is quite different from an interview format)

Lastly there is one fantastic lady which I really wish you interviewed at length: Arundhati Roy.

Any chance of any of that happening?

Many thanks in advance & sorry for the unrequested advice. That is the kind of stuff you expose yourself to when you are a top-notch interviewer :-)

  11. …Texas Congressman Ron Paul is one of those rare, outspoken, resolved Politicians, who in the tradition of the great Sen. Wayne Morse refuses to be guided by Policy.

…Phil, I was gonna say you might as well add Hunter Thompson to that group, but then I remembered the crazy bastard went and shot himself…How ’bout ya throw Paul Whitehurst and Jim Bovard in there? That and I think McCain’s showing early symptoms of Alzheimer’s, you’ll remember Reagan was punchy by his second term. Nixon was mixing Dilantin and booze and beating the shit out of his wife. Bullshit Bill was sticking a $40 cigars up Monica’s ass. Then ya got Tiddy Kennedy bangin’ away on some Cocktail Waitress under a Restaurant table. but best of all is Hillary claiming to “commune” with the ghost of Eleanor Roosevelt every night in The White House; I mean shit, and they want to characterize us as eccentric? Radical’s Anarchists etc?…My ass…Go figure.

…Mud, This Congress is a fuckin’ full blown farce indeed. But all of us knew goddamn well this would happen. Hell they’re even twisting John Murtha’s nuts. Plus Stungun Gonzales having his squat-to-piss Chief of Staff at the Justice Dept. ordering hatchet jobs done on Federal Prosecutors as Political enemies…No wonder Cheney wants to indict “leakers,” he musta figured he’d start with Government Lawyers to set an example. In the end it’s a bitter proposition for everyone here to have to sit by and watch the KIA figures go up day to day on AWC’s casualty counter…Before that I used to keep track on Calenders…Meanwhile The War goes on.

—I’ll be recording an interview with Justin this afternoon.

Also – did you consider inviting Richard Stallman? He could talk with you about free software of course, but also about politics and his views (http://www.stallman.org/) on a variety of subjects.

—Haven’t looked into it yet, but keep reminding me about it.

    —Heh. Thanks. Keep ‘em coming.

  13. Great for the Justin this afternoon!

As for Arundhati Roy, read this http://www.commondreams.org/views03/0518-01.htm (and in particular the conclusions.) or get this speech (video or audio) on DemocracyNow (http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=03/10/24/1443226&mode=thread&tid=25). And then there is the anonymous (well, not any more) documentary called “we” which you can get at http://www.weroy.com.

  14. yeah, well little “Al” Torquemada is the one that needs to have his nuts twisted, the fk’n scumbag enabler. what a f00kin joke this shit is. everybody walks. oh yeah, they’re all up in arms about wanting him to resign… bullshit! the bastard and all his little coward friends belong in prison. right, like that’s gonna’ happen, about as much as I believe KSM “confessing” to anything. pfttt! another dog and pony show. fire up the peanut roaster, there Mitch, and don’t forget the new tricks you trained your monkeys to perform. sorry, I just get fed up with it, mann.

In the end it’s a bitter proposition for everyone here to have to sit by and watch the KIA figures go up day to day on AWC’s casualty counter…Before that I used to keep track on Calenders…Meanwhile The War goes on.

it sure does… found out last weekend my boy’s in Fallujah now. marvelous, just fk’n marvelous.

    Posted by mudshark | March 15, 2007, 3:40 am
  15. …Jesus Jumpin’ Christ…Fallujah, he’s probably in the Marine Corps…Fuckin’ War Mongers…Now it’s personal…It can’t piss me off as bad as I know it does you, but it comes very very close…Makes me want to cross keyboards with neo-Con elites—Like William Krystal—twice as bad, and sooner or later, I will, and I promise you, he’ll come out second best. For right now? I think I’m gonna have to have a drink, or 4-5 dozen on this note…Let’s just hope for the best Mud. Bottom line: Some months back I heard Krystal on an NPR interview re: Iraq. One of his comments stuck in my mind. “Well, of course no one enjoys reading casualty lists, but sacrifices have to be made nonetheless.”

  16. not any more, he did his five years there, mainly in japan, and they gave him the ‘Abner Louima’ plan on college tuition when he got out, so he went the ANG route and their unit got called up to do “detainee security”. he has the security clearances to get into I.T. so he’s been doing that mostly, seeing as their shit is always crashing and in need of constant management.

I remember that remark, fk’n p.o.s. Kristol wouldn’t know regular people if his life depended on it.

    Posted by mudshark | March 15, 2007, 12:27 pm
  17. If he starts polling too high, CNN/Fox/NYT will be running stories like this everyday: “In the latest poll, 98% of Federal Reserve employees random working Americans believe that Ron Paul is a dangerous radical who shouldn’t become president.”

Scott – if you want recommendations for interviews, nearly any regular contributor from Antiwar.com or LewRockwell.com should be fine. Some of the Counterpunch people, like the Cockburn’s or Gary Leupp, would be a good listen also.

  18. …Professors Mearsheimer and Walt, both now relegated to the intellectual status on unpersons would be a better one. Hell, what’s there to lose?

Posted by Mace Price | March 17, 2007, 11:15 am
  19. I’m beginning to think Scotts a gatekeeper for the establishment. Note how he never comments on the crytozoology dimension of the NWO…..also he’s part of the conspiracy to keep David Ickes off the US airwaves.

  20. Scott

Keep posting updates particularly video and audio feeds of Ron Paul. I forward to others, many of whom know nothing about him. Most are quite impressed.

PS: I am looking at an ad for John McCain.com on your Google browser as I write this. I cannot understand why anyone would support this guy. He looks like a CIA mind-control project and from what I have read, he probably is.
