Let us hope that they can have some impact. The Butler Shaffer interview touched on the subject of presidential candidates and who actually gets to choose them. “We get to vote for the new warden” was a great comment. The “Fudge” website is shameless in its promotion of Hillary Clinton and uses every excuse to stick her mugshot in the viewer’s faces. Now they report that Mush Limbaugh says it’s an “80%” lock that the Hill will be the next pres. Someone wants her elected very badly… It ain’t me babe.
Alot of cynical Republican ops may want Hillary in 2008 because (1) It gives them something to run against in the 2010 Congressional and 2012 presidential……(2) It keeps America locked in the bogus REP – DEM paradigm and (3) after 4 years this becomes a bi – partisan foreign policy disaster and the DEM’s can’t club the Reps with it anymore….If Obama is the Veep is puts the South into play for the DEMs (large black turnout – the religious right may stay home if Giuliani gets the Rep nod)….In the alternate, Guiliani on top of the Rep ticket puts California and New York (Big Electoral states and largel automatic Dem states) into play for REPs.
Note: If its Rudy v. Hillary it will be MASSIVE CORPORATE MONEY! Also, this election would suck up all the Oxygen from any third party voice (Libertarian, Constitution, Green – whatever)….It would be a mano – a – mano media frenzy with a couple of welfare – warfare state Control Freaks looking to run this government.
If it was up to Shane Cory, Hillary and Rudy would both be called libertarians and would be welcome in the Libertarian party. There’s nothing inherently un-libertarian about a 3 trillion dollar warfare/welfare state. We need that big tent so we can win someday.
…In view this most recent slaughter pen affair—On a College Campus no less—in Blacksberg VA? I predict you can kiss your 2nd Amendment Rights good-bye. This event will prove the catalyst for Congress legislating the imperative Democratic Right for Citizens to keep and bear arms out of existence. You will recall that it was a similar massacre in Tasmania that became the pretext for disarming Australians some years ago. Worse, Pelosi’s already got the ball rolling with a pending Anti-Gun House Resolution…Now this Goddamned nightmare at Virginia Tech…Mark my words, she’ll have a fuckin’ field day.
