Still Lying, Still Delusional…

Bush and Cheney keep repeating the same lies and distortions that they have been using for years and the American people keep scratching their heads.  The Dumbocrats are in full retreat and it looks like more war is in store.  When asked recently about Osama’s whereabouts Bush came up with the following gem…

At the news conference, Bush also bristled at a question about why bin Laden was still at large. “Because we haven’t got him yet,” Bush snapped. “That’s why. And he’s hiding, and we’re looking, and we will continue to look until we bring him to justice. We’ve brought a lot of his buddies to justice, but not him. That’s why he’s at large. He’s not out there traipsing around; he’s not leading many parades, however. He’s not out feeding the hungry. He’s isolated, trying to kill people to achieve his objective.”

“Trying to kill people to achieve his objective”?  Sounds like someone that the Iraqi people know all too well…  Read the whole article here.

News like this leaves me, uh, truly speechless…

Bush sees South Korea model for Iraq

The sheer arrogance and stupidity of this man makes me ashamed to be an American today, and leaves me with little hope about the future we are headed for.

Antiwar Radio: Ivan Eland

Ivan Eland, author of The Empire Has No Clothes, Antiwar.com columnist and Director of the Center on Peace and Liberty at the Independent Institute explains America’s policy toward Pakistan and how it has that country on the path to be taken over by religious types, the lack of a hunt for bin Laden and Zawahiri, the failures and fraud of American empire, why Ron Paul is right about the roots of anti-American terrorism, and hopes for a realignment among the Old Right and New Left in opposition to our country’s state of perpetual war.

Crazy? Like Foxes…

Had a chance to check out Scott’s recent article in Harpers where he talks about the large number of mercs that the US has employed in Iraq.  He reviews the conflicts that have occurred between them and US & Iraqi troops, asking at the end: “Or are the contractors still shielded by their cronies in Washington?”

Scotty, you need to wake up and smell the gunpowder. With the government stretching the military to the breaking point don’t you think that it has crossed the minds of our fearless leaders that they might rebel at some point? Who would the motor mouths and lard butts in DC have to protect them then? It just might be those “jackasses with assault rifles,” that you mention in the article.
