Scott - I like Palast a lot, but this article is light on facts and heavy on innuendos. The part about Hezbollah is truly utter nonsense (I can't believe Palast can but all the propaganda about Hezbollah and hostages (they did not even exist then) or Argentina (which was a local job). I am not saying that Galloway is honest, only that Palast has more bile than proof in his article.

It's a he said/she said bonanza of accusations. I'll admit Palast's article sounds convincing, but if he had such a thing for Galloway, why didn't he and his employers at the BBC, also known as the Bush-Blair Corporation, launch a full-on assault? Palast would have had the full cooperation of the New Labour party. Why didn't the British Charity Commission press charges if it was assumed that he had stolen the money? Where is the proof? In Jordan?

George Galloway ended up suing The Christian Science Monitor and The Daily Telegraph for libel because they had said he had recieved money from Saddam's government during the Oil for Food Program. It turns out that both the Monitor and Telegraph had been getting their information from forged documents. Galloway won the suit with the Telegraph and received a published apology by the Monitor along with an out of court settlement by them as well. The fact is that there is no proof of Galloway receiving any funds from Saddam's government whatsoever. As for Greg Palast, he said that Bush and Cheney (due to their obession with oil profits, because according to Palast thats the only reason the U.S. went there) that an attack on Iran would not happen. He said this on Scott's show and I'm holding him to it. Let's see if he's right.

I think I remember well it was Greg Palast who said that he had investigated Galloway and he found out that the latter was a corrupted crook. In his testimony before Congress Galloway totally smashed all the arguments of his accusers. I think very highly of Palast, but I have also never seen anything credible against Galloway. Does anyone here know what the truth is?

My cousin's B-Day is on 9-11 and my sister's is on the day of the cease-fire between Israel and Lebanon.
The two shows have a heartbreaking description of Lebanons' aftermath. Plus George takes on a good many pro-Israel call-ins as well. The shows are 99 minutes each.

Well, if you don't include the Gaza Beach Party Massacre that really began the whole thing.
