Scott – some fun trivia for you: the Neocons are suggesting Michal Chertoff for AG. Well, do you know what the name ‘Chertoff’ means? Actually, Chertoff (which should be more accurately transliterated as “Chertov” from Чертов in Russian, pronounced ‘Chortov’) means “of the devil” or “the devil’s” in Russian. According to Wikipedia Chertoff is “the son of Rabbi Gershon Baruch Chertoff, the former leader of the B’nai Israel Congregation in Elizabeth, and El Al flight attendant Livia Chertoff (née Eisen). His paternal grandfather, Rabbi Paul Chertoff, emigrated from Russia. His grandfather was a noted Talmudic scholar”. It just makes me wonder what these “scholars” did to end up with such a last name like “Devil’s”?! LOL.
But hey, I guess they were just the victims of Russian Antisemitism, right?
I actually read this about Chertoff years ago in a newspaper you guys don’t like, even though that paper has been right most of time over the past 30 years.
Dang it, when Bushie attacks Iran and it turns out 1000 worse than Iraq and when the economy collapses (we’re on the cusp of a financial break down, we’ll be real lucky just to get a bad recession) can you image how unpopular Bush will be? Shit, what’s he now? 25 percent approval rating.
Phil – I never would criticize anyone for reading something. I used to read the Spotlight from time to time many years ago and have not seen it in years now. Thanks!
I used to read it too. I suppose not regularly enough to notice antisemitism. Mostly Bilderberg coverage and so forth. I remember laughing my ass off at an American Free Press article I saw up at RBN back a couple years ago about 9/11 though. Ridiculous stuff.
I believe Spotlight was accusing E Howard Hunt of Conplicity on the JFK hit years ago….and got sued by him for their troubles…In his recently released tapes he acknowledges his involvement… Truth is often found on the fringes….
Aside: I think S.H. (as Phillip Dru) interviewed Aaron Zellman…Obviously he is good on Second Admendment issues, but beyond that single issue, is he a hardcore Zionist or an Individualist who strongly recognizes the right to bear arms and the danger of Government controlling arms in the hands of private citizens?
I have to admit that I read some funny stuff there also. The one article about Richard Rene talking about how they faked the Apollo mission was a humdinger.
Mace Price – “Besy” (Бесы) in Russian means “demons” (plural) whereas the word “chert” (черт, pronounce chort) means “devil” (singular). close in meaning, but not the same etymological root.
…Nah, I’m in for keeps here Bogus Bob. Just had to take care of some familial matters in the wake of my Poor Ol’ Daddy goin’ on to, as is said down’n Ozarks; his “Reward.” But Goddamn Muddshark is AWOL! Bigger than shit too. Wonder what got into him? Maybe he’s already IN a fuckin’ camp?
Mace Price – my pleasure dude, anytime. And yes, I have read Besy although my favorite Dostoevsky book is still the Karamazov Brothers. Kind regards,

I think that the Russian word root Чер also means “dark” or “black”… if I’m not mistaken. Kind of like how Kras is rooted in words “beautiful” and “red”
@Mace Price – the answer to that is on my blog )
@Oscar Goldman – not quite. “Black” in Russian is “Черный”. However. “Черный” is also one of the names of the devil in old Slavonic, which is logical for the “Prince of Darkness”. Guys like Richard Perle, Ed Luttwak or Michael Chertoff really should go into horror movie acting – they all look like devils if you ask me.
Dang, is it just coincidene that you interview Scott Horton the day after the tapeworm woman slams both of you?
Nah, but he’s really the best guy to ask about Gonzales anyway.
Scott – please post yesterday’s archive, please, pretty please!

His name says it all of what we are in for.
Dang it Scott, ya got some heavy hitters lined up fer interviews. Way to go.

Hey Phil – what mag is that? As the French say, “you either said too much or too little”
Identified with a gangster. That’s hilarious.
American Free Press formerly the Spotlight. There I said it …….now blackball me!!
Scott,
How about a tag team debate with Horton & Horton versus Tapeworm and Stu Butt-in-sky.
Two out of three falls. Tables, ladders and chairs optional.
Not that I watch this stuff mind you.

…I thought the word pronounced “Besy” was Devil? As for Rabbi Chertoff? He could double for Nosferatu.

Dang it Macester, where u been? Thought you’d gone AWOL or somethin’.
I don’t know what Zellman’s position on foreign affairs is. If I remember right, he was antiwar. Certainly an individualist.

…VS thank you very much. Thus I’m certain you’ve read the said “Besy” by our old and prophetic friend, Feodor Mikhailovich.
Mud is still fighting for liberty out there somewhere…
