I have to compliment the Syrian government for showing compassion and sacrifice for letting the Iraqi refugees into their country. I know that not everything is hunky dory with their refugee status (I don’t think they’re allowed to work) but at least they were allowed in, which is far better than Uncle Sam.
Scott, this is plainly false. After all, I have it on good authority that Syria is evil and repressive and torturing and that we have to go overthrow it to liberate yet another middle eastern country and bring the light of American-style democracy there. So how could someone flee from liberated, democratic Iraq into repressive, evil Syria? Clearly this is all a bunch of Islamofascist propaganda.
If you want to check out an utterly amazing Iraqi woman who is still in Iraq and blogging check out Layla Anwar.

Michael: Yes.
Scott: Thanks for making sure we saw this.

Next time, be more careful who you listen to.
