Is there anyone else who is having doubts about whether a presidential political campaign is really the best outlet for all this libertarian energy? I agree with everything Paul is saying, but what’s the best case senario? America’s all about cops, troops, prison guards, narcs and lawyers. One protest campaign can’t fix it. It’s time for literate, worldly people to start heading out. Live abroad, that’s the only hope for personal freedom.
Scott: I know you don’t regard A. Jones reports as having the same validity as say “A BURNING BUSH” (note the Old Testament and GWB reference…I’m too clever by far)…. but regarding the now fat, now skinny, now grey hair, now white hair videos of OSAMA BIN LADEN…….Do you think they are???
a) Complete fabrications
b) the same guy who has gained and/or lost weight over time

Hah! Wait until you hear the Ray McGovern interview. Ray sounds just like George Carlin. I keep expected Ray to start droppin’ F bombs. And Gareth Porter sounds like Juan Cole. Maybe one day I’ll be able to get all straightened out. It’ll probably take at least a couple of Friedman units, though.

BB, you’re right. Ray McGovern sounds exactly like George Carlin. His accent, intonation, and the slow enuciated cadence of his delivery are virtually identical. I find my self waiting to hear about the seven words you can’t say on TV when he speaks.

No, sir, I’d have to say this is the absolute best place for all this energy - a presidential bid especially, is the very best way to reach large numbers of people with political idea. For the most part, Americans don’t pay the slightest bit of attention except at election time. The total number of people who will be exposed to the message of liberty will be hundreds of times the number who already have before this thing is done.
And no matter what happens to the campaign, the Ron Paul Revolutionaries will be a major force to be reckoned with in American politics for a long time to come.
