Instead, AT&T’s general counsel Wayne Watts wrote a 13-page plea for immunity from lawsuits, laying the blame for any unlawful transfer of customer communication records on the government and calling the lawsuits “exceptionally unfair.”

Mudshark! Thanks! Love that movie.
Just recapping that “it ain’t white boy day” scene in my head the other day, in fact, wondering if I needed to check out True Romance when the kids were asleep.
The scene with Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken is awesomely badass, too.

hahaha, yeah. Hopper and Walken are classic, and Alabama doesn’t have any coke, either. that’s insane. and speakin’ of insane and Patricia Arquette movies, this one has gotta’ be the best scene Robert Blake ever did, but then Lynch is even more twisted than QT.

hey, Oscar. while I’m thinkin’ of it, you like jazz? there’s a great host on the local npr station here and he likes playin’ that tune every couple of weeks, from the Montreaux vinyl, of course. I usually catch it on my way home from work. that write up is a couple years old because his show was cut to three hours - 9pm to midnight - last fall, but they do webcast in 96k.

yeah! Jimmy Smith is great. if you like that great B3 sound, Joey DeFrancesco has moved into doing more original stuff from the mostly cover material that he’s done in the past. and Jaco, geeezz… just outstanding. got a couple of his solo releases but his time with Weather Report was pretty special. and of course, there was Joni. if you get a chance to check out that wdet site, take a run through Ed’s playlist. Blue Note is putting out a ton of remastered material and Sharp Nine has loads of good artists also. they usually link everything on the playlist to amazon or their service where it can be picked up.
Chris Floyd is the best.
