Scott,
You will find this interesting, maybe even uplifting and encouraging….
“There is a saying that a good teacher is like a candle. It burns down so that it can give light or knowledge. But in the process it slowly extinguishes itself over time. ”
The other day, I was speaking to a diehard GOP friend who who says he is Libertarian but cannot give up the idea of Homeland Security and the War even though he knows the pretenses for the Iraq war are false. Now, I do not consider myself Libertarian as I do not consider myself anything. We argued over these points but I hit him between the eyes with a number of facts that he did not know. He commented to me, “You really know your stuff, what are you reading ?” I gave him a few places to look.
After he left, I asked myself how I did know what I knew (which I do not feel is very much). The answer was that I read the work of Scott Horton, Justin Raimondo, Ron Paul, PC Roberts, Charley Reese, Greg Albrecht, John Perkins, ect, ect. over the years.
You are one of many good teachers that I have encountered over my lifetime. If you ever feel that you work in vain, there are many of your students out there, some of which you don’t even know about. Thats your purpose and you are doing a good job.
Feel free to read on your show.
Regards

Do you have a bumper sticker that just says, “Is he gone yet?” I think that conveys the feeling a lot of us have right about now, and I bet you could sell a million of ‘em (hell, I’d buy one, hint hint).

Phil,
Thank you. That’s rad.
Paul, I thought we had one along those lines, but I can’t find it. There is this:

I don’t know about for the bumper, but that would make a great dart board! Or enlarge it a bit and I’ll take it to the range…
