Three More Great Additions to Ron Paul’s Campaign

Robert A. Pape, Leon Hadar and Ivan Eland will be joining Philip Giraldi, Doug Bandow and Charles Pena on Ron Paul’s foreign policy team (Bandow is also a broader policy advisor).

This is great. At first I thought "Damn, I wish ya’ll had done this months ago!" but then I thought "This is perfect timing for a race that’s just beginning."

  2. Yes it is, i read Blowback and Imperial Hubris but didn’t buy “dying to win” because it is £15 on amazon, I’ll wait till it gets reduced :)

  3. Yes, you do. Right after I read it and interviewed the dude, I went to the Ron Paul birthday barbecue in Lake Jackson – August 2005 – and in Paul’s speech he talked all about it. I was pleased, but not at all surprised.

  4. Every single one of the rest of those guys are Antiwar.com guys. Rad.

  5. Yeh i remember listening to your interview with him, iknow the basic premise that most suicide terrorism is due to occupation, and i remember him saying the tamil tigers carried out more bombings than any muslim group.

  6. And that crazy Sunni Salafist Waahabist Fundamentalists in the Sudan do NOT use suicide terrorism.

  7. How come Michael Scheuer isn’t on the team?

  8. Just to change subject, Clint Eastwood is on fox news (i know i shouldn’t watch it) and they just mentioned Ron Paul and he said he likes him because he talks about being fiscally responsible but then said “so does John McCain” , Eastwood described himself as a libertarian so why the hell isn’t he coming out fully in favor of Ron Paul ? he sounds like he is behind McCain now Romney has dropped out. Wasn’t Eastwood against to war as well ? how the hell can he be praising McCmorewars ?

  9. This is great but where were these guys 6 months ago?

  10. Dear Scott, Now that Romney has dropped out of the race you might want to call Bill Lind and ask him if he will ask his closest associate Paul Weyrich (Free Congress Foundation) to endorse Ron Paul- and offer to interview him. I happen to know that Paul, who reluctantly endorsed Romney, was always against the invasion of Iraq, and his views on foreign policy are close to those of Lind. A Weyrich endorsement might make it difficult for the MSM to continue to ignore him, and make it easier for other movement conservative leaders who have stayed in the closet over their opposition to the war to come out. Love your show, Eric Smith.

  12. eric smith,

I guess I could try to suggest it to Lind, though I really don’t know him very well… Maybe I can pass it on…

    And thanks. : )

Re: Scheuer: I don’t know. Re: Why now not 6 months ago?: Don’t know. Re: Eastwood: No idea.

RE: GOP v LP: Maybe this guy is right that Ron should stay in the GOP:

Or maybe Anthony is right that he should bolt to the LP:

  14. wow from what Im hearing on c-span he’s getting some great foreign policy points across, looks like those antiwar.com people are really paying off already, i bet no MSM outlet would dare run this speech, he’s talking about Bin Laden and how much he loves the US’s current foreign policy because it’s draining the US.

  15. No one cashing in their chips or quitting yet. Good, keep fighting! We will win.

  16. Hey Scott:

Per APOCALYPSE NOW….. are you Dennis Hopper to Ron Paul’s Marlon Brando? If so, who is Martin Sheen?

That’s just cause your a fucking racist BB…. against people from Louisiana.

    Posted by SteveC | February 7, 2008, 6:24 pm
  19. Hate to say it, but I just don’t see it happening no matter who endorses Paul. All the delegate counts I’ve seen on the web list RP as having between 5-16, with the McCainiac 2/3 of the way to the nomination. Maybe now might be a good time to try to convince RP to look at the 3rd party option. He would probably take most of his donors with him, so it’s not all bad.

    On the lighter side:

Hah! It’s because I don’t want to lose my head! Remember what Kurtz’s people did to Chef?

    More BIGOTRY!!!!!!

Did you actually see this being done? by Kurtz? or his people? No, we only saw Kurtz drop the head into Willard’s lap. For all we know Chef (Frederick Forrest) might have been looking to get a medical discharge (recall his erratic behavior w/ the tiger) by causing a neck injury and overdid it…… Maybe Kurtz wanted to invite Chef for dinner, found him in that state, and merely wanted to inform his C.O. (Willard/Sheen) about his condition….
