A cartoon movie, The Clone Wars, is coming out this August. Here’s hoping it isn’t too lame.
Why couldn’t II have been I and done much better and then II coulda been the Clone Wars and then III could have been what it was only done better? That way what we know now as I would just be some lame comic book or something. I wonder if Lucas would consider hiring a new director and then letting that guy redo all the prequels all bad-ass like and we could all pretend the last few never happened…
Whatever… Sorry for being a Star Wars dork.

Yeah, that would be rad. This looks good though: http://www.starwars.com/video/view/478.html
And they say that the live action one next year is supposed to be good like firefly. I guess we’ll see…
Lucas can’t hire a new director, for the same reason he couldn’t bring Irvin Kirshner back to direct ROTJ. Lucas resigned from the Director’s Guild when they refused to allow him to release Empire Strikes Back without opening credits. DG rules say all movies have to have opening credits. Every director in Hollywood belongs to the DG. Lucas can’t even hire Spielberg, his best friend for life, for this reason.
Lucas had to go to Europe and hire Richard Marquand for ROTJ, and that turned out quite badly. I’d love to see Alex Proyas or Christopher Nolan take a Star Wars flick, but it’s never going to happen. Wait…I can think of one way it could happen. If Lucas had nothing to do with it. Not even in a financial sense. And if the new flick ran with opening credits. Sound good?
Think that’s why the Commerce Guild are the bad guys in Episode II?
Is that who the bad guys are in Ep 2? If you can explain the plot of Ep 2 to me then you’re a better man than I am, doc. But only ’cause I’m a rabbit.
Saw the trailer for the new Indiana Jones yesterday. Looks pretty awful. On the brighter side, it looks like the bad guys in the movie are the U.S. Army. Which means he’s still fighting Nazis, eh?
Huh?
Nazis + invasion and occupation of other country = evil
U.S. Army + invasion and occupation of other country = evil
Subtract the second equation from the first. Rearrange terms. Square both sides if you like.
