I sure hope your vote gets counted before mine. I voted a month ago and I still don’t know if my vote was even accepted. (I had to vote a provisional ballot.) It’s pretty frustrating to not even know if your vote was even included in the results, even a month after the fucking election is over. But what the fuck, I have never voted for a candidate that won. Like you say, “Voting is for suckers” and I’ve certainly proved that!
Anyway, for whatever it’s worth here’s an idea for you for your next bumper sticker. You have a picture of this piece of shit who is about to throw a puppy off a cliff
And next to that you have the little yellow ribbon and next to that you have “Support Our Government Created Sociopaths”

Or maybe it would better to have the quoted in the middle. The ribbon on the left, the quote in the middle and the piece of shit on the right? Or maybe the ribbon on the right. I don’t know…I’m sure you can figure out what would look best….

Your country, with the exception of the 10% Ron Paulians, deserves exactly what it gets. America is finished, and I rejoice in your demise. The only question is, will the rest of the world go with it? The question of loose Americans nukes is never discussed, but is probably the gravest threat to mankind’s survival. I fear that the last act of desperation in the death throes of the great empire will be to start dropping them everywhere. In particular, Venezuela is less than 300 miles from here.

mike in st. lucia, the 10% is encouraging. It is enough to move someplace and secede. Loose nukes are possibility, but may only happen with a complete collapse of the nation state here. We may see more of an eventual breakup with some portion of the remaining getting to keep them. It is possible that there will be a collapse with a complete rejection of the dollar and a new currency introduced. “Currency reforms” are common after collapsed currencies.
Scott, take a look at this article and comment. Maybe you can talk about it on your show. (Sorry if you already saw it.)

Well, as Sergeant Elias said in Platoon, “This country has been kicking everyone else’s ass for so long, I guess it’s about time we got ours kicked.” Or words to that effect. Amerika’s terrorism can’t last forever.

I just got back from my caucus, there were only five from my precinct for the Republican party. While we were waiting I met one of those “The Evil Muslim/Terrorist/Extremists Are Going To Come And Kill Everyone In America If We Leave Iraq” people. He was talking about how the Shia and Sunni have been fighting each other forever and have always despised each other. I started trying to persuade him away by mentioning that the Baath party was mostly Shia even though Sadaam was a Sunni, but it became clear he was a dyed in the wool Islamophobe. He was completely convinced this is an eternal war because they’ve been fighting over there ad infinitum, also he considers this Islamic movement to based on antisemitism.

You mean that recording? No, that ain’t me. I recorded it off kook network and I think it just got me in big trouble.
I was having DSL problems today and got a call back from AT&T. Anyway, I had nothing to say to them so instead of talking to their technician I played that recording to the tech and then hung up. It seemed funny at the time but considering it’s AT&T you think I’m gonna have the secret service knocking on my door?

I would guess that it’s most likely someone that won’t do anything who heard it, but I haven’t listened to it. I guess I will now. I take some comfort in government incompetence.
Did anybody see those AT&T billboards that were vandalized? It looks like fun.

At least two or three times a year my DSL goes down at the most inopportune times. Then I have two spend the whole morning with AT&T trying to explain that it’s not my problem. Today they wanted me to tell them what lights were on on my modem, turn off my router and a bunch of bonehead suggestions. I was trying to tell them that they had an outage on their hands. After a couple of hours they tell me “there’s an outage in your area.” Duh! Anyway, I’m stuck with these bastards for now.

you can check out all kinds of them at distrowatch. most of the major ones have it all on the livecd with install option now. if you aren’t familiar with hard drive partitioning and formatting, you might want to read up on it before installing. QtParted is a free linux version of Partition Magic and works well, and is included on the knoppix livecd. the only one I’ve used that will wipe the drive and format it for you during the install process is fedora. I’m running f8 right now. pclinuxos-gnome is very nice on the livecd mode, but I’m going to have to read up on more install issues before I run it on my other drive.

Thanks, MS. I just burned a live cd and booted off it and it works. For now I just want to run it on a system with no hard drives. This system can’t boot off USB so I boot off the CD and I’m planning on saving my settings and files to a USB drive. If I get all that to work I probably will eventually install it on a hard drive. (Assuming the SS doesn’t hall me away or seize my computer equipment.) Anyway, so far so good.

y/w. that’s one of the best things that they’ve done with linux disto’s is make the livecd version. then anyone can test it for hardware compatibility without touching the drive. you must not have a dell. one of my sons has been trying to get his to boot from cd to use some livecd’s and it ain’t like’n it. must be running some kind of interference in the bios.

yeah. that’s about the only line that guy has that’s somewhat credible. I just can’t take that voice modulation - freakin’ silly. wish they’d edit those nutbar ads out on the podcast like most stations do. it sure throws a wrench into Karen’s show, that’s for sure. maybe the other guy that previously did the ads for them and gcn finally couldn’t take it any more. hahahaha
