  3. SC Rep. Joe Wilson just made an ass out of himself at the Petreas/Crocker hearing. He asked “.. when the terrorists finish their work in Iraq, then go on to destroy the people of Israel, will they then come over here to attack us again?”. And Crocker says “yes – that’s why we must fight them over there; so they won’t come over here”. Somebody shoot me.

  8. Say what you like about Obama but he seems to be the only one who’s actually asked a couple of tougher questions and made a few good points, like the fact that their was no al qaida in Iraq pre invasion.

  9. Obama just sucks less than Clinton or McCain.

Posted by Joe Briggs | April 9, 2008, 12:26 pm
  10. Well we know Clinton doesn’t suck, otherwise why would bill have strayed :D

  14. Actually, I don’t have as big of problem with Hillary as the people that she surrounds herself with – Wolfson, Albright, Holbrook, Davis, etc. With exception of yesterday (when she looked like she got run over by a bus) her performance in the senate and committee meetings is usually very aggressive and impressive. But those dirty rotten thugs she hangs out with are likely the same posse she would enter office with and that is the show-stopper for me.

  18. Yes, and she will enlist Madelane Albright to paint the white house with the blood of Iraqi children.

    Posted by Anders | April 9, 2008, 1:13 pm
  19. “blood of Iraqi children”? But, …, weren’t they worth it?

Posted by Joe Briggs | April 9, 2008, 1:16 pm

  24. Didn’t know you had a mac. Thought you were running linux or windows.

Posted by Bob Bogus | April 9, 2008, 1:49 pm
  25. I always think ‘Imac’ sounds a bit like a sanitary towel brand. Totally off subject there :)

Posted by Bob Bogus | April 9, 2008, 2:05 pm
  29. Im not sure :) i tried to make a longer one but it got tedious trying to synch up his lips with the audio, so i gave up at 6 seconds long .

    Posted by Anders | April 9, 2008, 2:08 pm
  30. Well, I thought it was hilarious. Hope you make so more. Can you put the 6 second one on youtube?

  36. And where’s Mace?

    Posted by Scott | April 10, 2008, 5:39 am
  37. I posted this comment at antiwar.com about this guy too…

This guy’s leftism does not impress me. First, pardon me, but I’ll jump for joy for the Iraqis the day that Iraq’s biggest problem is that it has too many billionaires. Not everything boils down to class struggle, guy.

Secondly, the thing that liberals consistently don’t see is the inherent danger in a government that has a lot of money and power. The best comment maybe ever about government was P.J. O’Rourke’s quip that “Giving money and power to government is like giving liquor and car keys to teenage boys” (Boy, remember the days when conservatives used to believe that?). A government without access to great amounts of money or power *can’t* get into mischief like the Iraq War or the burgeoning police state. A government with great access to money and power is one for which it is almost inevitable that they will. A people who are independent is a people who can tell the government to take a hike when it gets too overbearing. A people who are dependent on government checks in order to survive never can.
