So whose enemies are paramount in the minds of American policy makers, Israel’s or America’s? Must bin Laden and Zawahiri remain free forever while we ally with their friends and fight those they hate but do not threaten us?

Hey check this out! Tonight Coast to Coast AM is re-running an interview of Harry Brown from an old Art Bell show on November 30, 1995.
“6-10pm PT: During Art Bell: Somewhere in Time take a trip down memory lane to November 30, 1995 when Art Bell and Libertarian Party candidate for the 1996 Presidential race, Harry Brown, discusses his party’s beliefs on government, taxes, immigration, and many other topics of the day.”
And after that they have this:
“First hour: Ian will chat with science essayist Carl Zimmer. Then, Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter for The New York Times, David Cay Johnston (Book Link) will discuss his work exposing how everyone from golf course developers and sports team owners to Paris Hilton and other super rich are getting richer off of government subsidies and taxpayer dollars.”

Any chance anyone could record this tonight?
Someone please record it.
Hey Scott, I didn’t think I’d be able to record it but I did get it recorded. But it’s a big assed file and the damn station interrupted their broadcast for about 6 or 7 minutes in the first hour of the interview to report on a fire that was practically already put out. Anyway, here it is Download ArtBell_HarryBrown_113095_051008.mp3
Thanks Bob. Can’t wait to hear it.
Scott,
This is off topic but I just watched Judgement at Nuremburg for the 20th time.
Spencer Tracey’s final comments before convicting the 4 Nazis rings more true today than ever. Anyone who has not seen this movie, should watch it over and over again. Fast forward to now and the prosecution can now be the defendant.

Like Tracey said, “This country is at a crossroads”. More true now than ever.
One final note: Herr Rolf, the Nazi defender, implicates the American industrialists, as complicit in the crimes. And we all know who one of the families were that he was talking about.

I didn’t listen to the show(s), but I’ve noticed this David Cay Johnston showing up in a lot of places. For years this guy Johnston would write the ONLY articles to be found in the establishment print media about American tax resistors such as Irwin Schiff whom I count as great heroes. In the 1990’s, every month or so, Johnston would write a NY Times article misrepresenting tax resistance and calling for the unconstitutional U.S. standing armies to crack down on courageous tax resisters like Schiff (who is currently being tortured and given the “diesel treatment” like former Congressman George Hansen).
I see they rewarded Johnston with a pulitzer prize and money in 2002. And there is a “David Cay Johnston Watch” http://davidcayjohnstonwatch.blogspot.com where they don’t address his shilling for U.S. government mafia hitmen, but they say:
“David Cay Johnston is the New York Times’ leading reporter on tax issues. He is not a fair or neutral reporter. Johnston’s reporting is highly partisan and routinely advocates for his own left-wing progressive tax agenda. This is where we debunk his misleading and slanted reporting.”
I heard part of the Johnston interview. Yeah, he’s a liberal and a statist but last night what he said sure supported the argument that as many taxes as possible should be done away with because the well connected will always find a way to get out of paying leaving the little people stuck with the tab. Although I’m sure he would argue instead that everybody should pay “their fair share.” Still, most of what he said backed up Harry Brown’s contention in the prior hours that government doesn’t work.
