Exclusive from US sources: Washington urged Israel to seize opportunity and clobber Iran-backed Hizballah

DEBKAfile’s US sources disclose that Saturday, May 10, Washington gave Israel the go-ahead to attack Hizballah during its takeover of Beirut and knock out its capabilities in the south. The IDF was given the chance to punch a hole through one of the four hostile fronts ranged against Israel and so give pause to the second hostile force, Hamas in Gaza. Behind the bonhomie of the Bush visit, US officials took Israeli leaders to task for giving Iran’s surrogate a clear run in Lebanon.

Debka is 100 percent full of crap. I would pay this no mind at all without other sources.

Yeh, it is an extremely pro Israel site.

I see Bush has been dusting off some of his best phrases-

“Saddam Hussein must disarm himself — or, for the sake of peace, …” - October 7th 2002

“For the sake of peace, the world must not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon,” may 18th 2008

For the sake of peace we must start another war, …. what’s that noise ?….. oh, it’s just Orwell rolling in his grave again.

It’s not that, it’s that every thing they say is bullshit.

But yeah, as far as Bush’s rhetoric, looks like the gauntlet has been thrown down. Can a 28% approval rating stop him? Doubtful.

Hey scott this is a good little clip you might want to play on the show (if you haven’t already) it’s ron paul from 2003 naming the neo-cons in a speech to congress, this is only 5 mins of the speech which is around 50 minutes in its entirety, i remember it was listening to the whole thing which turned me on Ron Paul a couple of years back. I think this is a good little video for anyone who doesn’t really know who the neo-cons are.

I’ve played the whole speech before, but that is a choice cut indeed.

Between Ritter and Giraldi, there’s been a lot more talk that there will be a strike against Iran before Bush leaves office. If we assume he wouldn’t dare after the election of a new President, that leaves basically only a few months. I have a hard time believing it is actually going to happen. The window is closing rapidly and there has not been a significant ratcheting up of tensions to justify any action.

Hey Scott, what the hell is going on wit Sybil Edmonds? It’s like she just fell off the face of the earth.

And how’s that Russel Means interview coming along?

If you can’t get Means you ought to interview some other secessionists. There’s more of this everyday

This criminal political parties that run this country have fucked it so bad that secession is going to be the next big thing. Here are some secession groups:

    Bob,

Sibel has been away for a while, but she’ll be back sometime this year I presume. However, the chances that the Democrats will run an investigation into her claims seem to be getting slimmer by the day.

My question: what the heck is happening with the AIPAC spy trial?

So many scandals it’s hard to keep trace of them.
