Maybe my memory isn’t very good but have you had this lady on the show scott ?

Scott should definitely see about getting her on. James Bamford too. The latter gets mentioned a lot but hasn’t been on in a year and a half or so.

The other Scott Horton interviewed her for Haprers magazine , -

“The sadistic treatment of Abu Zubayda also seems to have affected him psychologically in bizarre ways. Two sources said that he became sexually obsessive, masturbating so much his captors feared he would injure himself. One described him as acting “like a monkey at the zoo.” A physician was called in for consultation—one of many instances in which health professionals have played truly disturbing roles in this program.”

Supposedly a review copy is on the way…

I had the same reaction to that EJ Dionne article. He has no understanding of free market economics, but the fact is he’s expressing views held by probably the majority of Americans. That’s one reason why we’re in such a dangerous time. People could quite voluntarily yield total economic control over to the government under the belief that the market is bad for them.

Thanks for the video, Anders.  America — doing the Lord’s work.  I’m so proud.

I heard Ron Paul the other week say that people on the house floor actually say “why can’t we just nuke em” with regards to Iran.

No way would the Iranians be dumb enough to invade Iraq in response to US attack. The air force would obliterate Tehran. More likely to that they would foment internal uprising within Iraq, Lebanon, and other Arab countries. The Iranians know that they would have to take some blows in the short term in order to “win” any conflict. But any way you slice it, the options are bad for everyone.

Wouldn’t the SUUNI’s in Saudi Arabia love a massacre of the SHIA Iranians?

      1. Scott posted the following on July 16, 2008 at 2:15 pm.

No. I’ve heard nothing that would indicate the Saudis want war - though they of course wish to retain dominance in OPEC.

The royal family are not jihadists. The differences between them and the Ayatollahs that count are economic and political not religious or ethnic.

More war would be terribly destabilizing and if they have any sense at all they must be opposed.

Anyone know of any recent reporting on Saudi views toward war with Iran?

I cannot imagine that Iraqi Sunnis wish to see any more war, on Shia or anyone else.

      3. MikeL posted the following on July 16, 2008 at 2:51 pm.

I meant to say that Sunnis everywhere (except for the Bin Ladinists) do not wish for more war.

Good to hear Ray. He sounded good for some one in the midst of chemo.

Ray tells me that his chemo is over and he expects to hear good news next month.

Damn…site completely changed. O.o  Anyway, I found this eariler: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqMjMPlXzdA It reminded me of that “Why you should never talk to the police” video posted a while back here.  The user’s page for the people that posted it ( http://www.youtube.com/user/FlexYourRights ) has an interview with the people who made the video that I thought was pretty interesting as well.
