1)  THE PRACTICAL…………………..Option A)  There is NO WAR on the event horizon. Bush/Cheney are discredited lame ducks who have lost all power. ZBIG and the “realists” are in charge now….and they do not want war with Iran…..but would like to “use” Iran as a Bulwark against Russia and China. Admininajad is playing along (happily) because tensions increase the price of oil and allow him to blame America for domestic problems – See GREG PALASTOption B)  Bush/Cheney are discredited lame ducks and therefore have NOTHING TO LOSE by starting a war with Iran. They will turn a mess over to their successors who will be unable to “just leave.” An attack on Iran will be a “hail Mary” pass for the neocons and the Answer to what Normal Podhoretz prays for. Moreover, LNYJD’s are pushing for this type of aggression - but will no doubt do an about face when TSHTF - on matters of implementation if not policy…. [Gary Ackerman as an example]…..2)  I respect these Antiwar folks…..although frankly I think they are wasting their time….  Got an E - mail from Bill Buran (running for something in NY as a Libertarian) telling me to call or write Charles Schumer & Hillary to tell then to oppose war w/ Iran…..  How fucking stupid is this…….. Aside:   The protestors did not look like the kind of folks who has the physical ability or temperment to break a man in two with their bare hands and then eat his entrails for lunch…..  It may not be pretty…. but thats the kind of folks we are going to need.
