Hey Scott, wasn’t Pat Buchanan talking about Georgia in the interview you did about 3 weeks ago? If you think about it the situation is pretty similar… Danzig (95% German) vs. S. Ossetia (90% hold Russian passports); Danzig had British war guarantee, Georgia would have had one soon… Maybe Putin was preempting the December thing Buchanan was talking about.
