Man, you’d think he’d want to avoid sounding like such a Pinko on the eve of this election, especially with him having to live down all his efforts on North Vietnamese radio on behalf of Ho Chi Minh. I guess not.

Ha! And he brags about it in the debate tonight.
Well, it’s more than official now, there’s nothing left of conservatism except the worship of their golden idol – the department of defense.
He’s also going to help your kids slim down! They’re getting a bit tubby in the tummy it seems!
What better way to get your kid in shape than to send to Iraq!
Send your kid to Iraq, I meant (I’ll learn how to type one of these days).
As Lew Rockwell points out, neither sorry rat bastard even saw fit to mention the wars at all.

Last night, I watched Caddyshack and Dirty Harry for the hundredth times instead of the debates. I cannot stomach either one of these knucklehead candidates. Watching them debate is like watching a foreign film with the wrong subtitles. I think the MST3000 guys should take a crack at the debates: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mystery_Science_Theater_3000
Can Anders do an MST3000 format for the debates ?
Hey Corkey, Is Caddyshack still funny to you? I find that most things I laughed at in the old days only embarrass me when I watch them now. Especially anything made in the 80’s. What a horrible decade for American films (except for Star Wars, right Scott?).
Rodney Dangerfield, Ted Knight and Bill Murray’s performances makes it interesting and humorous to me. The plot is silly and predictable but then again, I am a big Three Stooges fan too. And you can’t get any more predictable than them. I like comedy, especially slapstick like the old Vaudeville routines. They are the best. The movies I really hate from the 80’s and 90’s are the senselessly violent ones, things like Arnold Swarzeneggar and Sylvester Stallone. These are movies that were meant to be serious but are just plain stupid and meaningless. In addition, most of the stuff coming out of Hollywood today really stinks. Too much computer generated special effects, really bad acting and idiotic writing. One last comment….if you want to get a good reading on the American psyche today, watch the commercials during the NFL games. I turn them off as they seem to be directed at people who are total morons (ie: Coors Light commercial where they splice in footage of two jack-offs asking questions to a current NFL coach. Oh my God, do they really think these things sell beer ?)

My favorite 80’s movie was “The King of Comedy” and even that one wasn’t that great. And you’re right, almost everything out of Jellywood sucks these days. I shouldn’t have limited my disgust to just the 80’s.
