  1. Oh, great, I’m so relieved.  Oh, wait.  Nevermind.

  2. Obama can’t be all that bad. After all, with him as Interim Dictator:
    * you can tell his supporters ” I told you so!!!! ” when he commits his first war crime.
    * you can hope he and Biden will destroy the Democrats the way Bush & The Neocons destroyed the GOP.

  3. It’s taking a lot of effort to refrain from saying “SCREW YOU ASSHOLES!” and reverberating the room with a George Carlin-esque Bronx cheer toward a cowering Bush and his Republican party.

  4. I’m under no delusions Obama is not going to end the empire but at least we won’t be staring WWIII in the face for much longer.

  6. To My Republican Friends and President Bush:
Thank you for bringing back warrantless wiretapping.  At first I was against it, but now that power will reside in the hands of a liberal Democrat, I am all for it.  Absolutely be assured this power will not be abused.  An Obama Administration will not use it to gather information on political enemies in the GOP.  In any case, even if he does abuse it, there is little you can do about it, since you did not want any FISA oversight.
Thanks once again.  And by the way, you might want to watch what you say on the phone.

  7. Don’t be too happy….they are talking about Rahm Emanuel as Secretary of State.   He should have a shirt made up with big letters,  “Dual Loyalist” for the cameras.    The only thing that seems to never change in DC is the fashionability of Treason.

  8. FISA ?!?!   The dude is going to walk on water and finally make the Soviet system work for us!  Who cares if we lack privacy, freedom and free will?! Not me.
==== August speech – (Google: obama  speech august ) ==== “I will build new partnerships to defeat the threats of the 21st century: terrorism and nuclear proliferation, poverty and genocide, climate change and disease.” (I told you he was a miracle worker.)”In 10 years, we will finally end our dependence on oil from the Middle East.” (The Soviets always needed 5 years. Oh well. Miracles need time to happen.)”Now, many of these plans will cost money…” (What?! A laywer/politician speakin the truth?)
==== Yesterday’s victory speech ====”…and we know that government can’t solve every problem.” (Despite promising the exact same thing back in August. He’s already breaking promises!)”… we cannot have a thriving Wall Street while Main Street suffers.” (The guy votes for a $700 billion and still says this?! )”To those who would tear this world down: We will defeat you. To those who seek peace and security: We support you.” (In other worlds, we will reimburse US allies for trying to start wars.  The Georgian bureaucrats will be very pleased.  It’s like having George W. stiil in office. Except the dude’s a lawyer… just like Bill Clinton. The best of both worlds!)

  10. Ha ha ha ha. I just read this comment at the NYT. The story was about Obama getting his first presidential daily briefing. You know, that thing where they tell the Pres how the empire’s doing that morning. Anyway, this is the first comment from a reader:

    “November 5th, 2008 12:04 pm ET
Obama’s promised openness and honesty. Let’s have the whole truth on Roswell, then, shall we? Nobody’s buying the official government line. Well, nobody with half a brain, anyway.”

  11. The greatest joy of Obama’s win is in contemplating how the Clinton’s must feel
