Okay, clearly I need some practice at public speaking, but I suppose I’m not toooo embarrassed by this… Thanks again to the Young Americans for Liberty at UNH for having me.
Update: Oh, Joe already blogged. Thanks man! It sure was great to finally meet you in person.

Scott,
It was a very beautiful and compelling speech; thanks, very moving…
it was great to put a face to the voice of Scott Horton. it was great to hear you speak without it being a radio interview situation.
you’ve provided me with so much information and made my time at work educational.
i sincerely thank you Scott for all your work and everyone else at antiwar.com.
Hey, Great Speach. Good dynamics. (Maybe a tad too soft at times) Clear statements. Real and passionate energy. You need to do more public speaking. Your delivery of your message is very compelling and sincere. The Truth needs more of your speaches. Thanks for what you do bro.
Thanks a lot you guys. I was a bit scared, but I think next time will be much better.
Good introduction Scott. True you appeared quite intimidated by the situation. Nevertheless, the presentation is significantly better than anything I could have ever achieved.
I’ve done some public speaking and it never ceases to put me in a state of panic.
I was surprised to hear even a hint of nerves in your delivery…as I have listened to your interviews where you continually just kill it and come across as unflappable and immune to anxieties.
I assume this was a special event and that you do not speak very often in that arena. If you’re ever in Phoenix or Tucson I will walk to see you speak if necessary. Walk a hundred miles if need be.
Thank you for your work.
Scott, what are you embarassed about – that was a terrific, sincere-straight-from-the-heart speech which are the type of speeches that stick and have an effect on people! Very well done.
Y’all are too kind.
Scott,
I’ll second all of the favorable comments. I enjoyed your speech, and you did very well.
I think I’ve listened to about every interview you’ve ever done, and I think I can count on two or three fingers the number of times you’ve logically hesitated or been really stumped. And you’ve interviewed some really big intellects (and some small ones, to be truthful!) – and there probably aren’t two people in any live audience who can match your radio guests. I don’t know your studio setup, but the next time your speaking publicly just speak into that microphone the way you’ve done it for years with your show mic!
Incidentally, your production values have really increased since the move to LA. I’ve said for years you are ready for big-time syndication. In the meantime, I don’t know the college radio scene anymore, but surely there’s an open-minded syndicator (non-Clear Channel-like) who could easily put you in front of a million or two listeners. You need to be making a hefty percentage of what Limbaugh and Co. make for your obvious passion and scholarship. (I say ‘hefty percentage’ because: 1. I don’t think you’ll ever get paid to be a clown like the fat boy from Missouri with Vietnam deferments for ass boils. 2. It’s probably a good bet that you wouldn’t sell your soul multiple times to a political party hellbent on world domination – and I don’t think they’d take you with your track record!)
