To participate in the Antiwar Radio live chat room, you’ll need to use an IRC program. There’s a free web-based one requiring no installation at webchat Freenode Or you can download and install a Windows-based client, Xchat for Windows. Below are instructions with pictures for both applications. "Firefox users can use the Chatzilla browser plugin.
Mibbit.com instructions:

Just pick a nickname and click "Click to join chat room" and you’re in.
Chatzilla plugin for Firefox:
If you use the Firefox web browser, you can download the Chatzilla plugin and join us in the Antiwar Radio chat room from a tab in your browser.
Just connect to FreeNode (irc.freenode.net) and join the ##Antiwarradio channel.
Standalone IRC Client Instructions:
If you would prefer to install a Windows-based IRC chat program, head over the the X Chat download page.
Click the highlighted link to download the latest version. Depending on your browser you’ll see something like this

Open the file (or save it to a location and open it manually) and then begin the installation.
This is mostly just clicking one or two boxes and then clicking "Next", so I’ll let the pictures do the talking…

Now just start X-Chat 2 from your start menu, and you’ll be on a configuration screen.
Enter your preferred nickname(s) and user name and then scroll down in the box to "FreeNode" and click "Connect." You may have a windows security warning pop up. This isn’t something to be alarmed about. Click ‘Unblock’ to allow X Chat to connect.
You’ll now be connected and prompted to select a channel to join:
To chat just type in the box:
